On this #ParanormalTuesday, Mike and Wendy welcome a guest after their own hearts: musician and podcaster Hal Aaron, host of Tales of the Road Warriors, joining from Philadelphia.
Hal has stories for days. He remembers being as nervous as could be at his very first open mic, singing "Rag Doll" by The Four Seasons with a high falsetto, and being offered a job on the spot. He shares memories of a game show appearance (yes, they made him tell the embarrassing winning answer), working alongside talented performers, and his podcast's guests, including Michael Winslow.
Of course, the conversation turns paranormal too. Hal recalls a John Tesh sighting while working at a deli, which sends Wendy and Mike down memory lane, since a cult following once joked that Tesh might be an alien. There's talk of a short-lived TV show about a family of magicians who solved crimes, and a bit of Los Angeles history, including the Sportsman's Lodge, where Bobby Kennedy reportedly stayed the night before he was killed.
The hosts and Hal also swap thoughts on the happy accidents that happen when you're playing live, the kind of moment you discover on stage and keep forever.
